Methodology
The rules are fixed before the first test, published here, and applied the same way to every casino. If we change them, we date the change and re-score everything.
The principle
A score should only contain things a reader can check. A withdrawal is checked by its transaction on the blockchain; a provably fair round by recomputing it; an RTP or bonus claim by arithmetic. Opinions about design, game choice or "vibes" are not part of the score.
How a withdrawal test is performed
- The CashoutScore testing team opens an account like any player would, from a country the casino accepts according to its own terms.
- We deposit a small amount of USDT on TRC-20 (typically the equivalent of 20-100 USD) from a wallet we control, paid with our own money.
- We play normally under the casino's rules, without exploiting bonuses, and respect every term we accepted.
- We request a withdrawal to our own TRON address and record the exact request time (UTC).
- When the funds arrive, we record the transaction hash. The "paid" time is the block time of that transaction, not when we noticed it.
- We record whether identity documents, selfies or source-of-funds proof were requested, and at what point.
- Anything unusual - support delays, changed limits, extra wagering demanded - goes into the test notes verbatim.
Each casino needs at least 3 tests on different days before it gets a score. Every published transaction hash can be opened on TronScan or in our withdrawal verifier.
Score weights
The cashout score is 0-100, a weighted sum of five parts, each scored 0-100:
| Part | Weight | What is measured |
|---|---|---|
| Payout speed | 35% | Median time from withdrawal request to the block time of the payout transaction. |
| KYC friction | 20% | Whether documents were requested, and whether that matched the casino's own stated policy. |
| Limits & fees | 15% | Casino-side withdrawal fee, minimum withdrawal and daily limit for USDT TRC-20. |
| Fairness transparency | 15% | Whether games are provably fair, whether the player can set the client seed, and whether our sampled rounds recomputed correctly. |
| Licence | 15% | Whether the claimed licence appears in the regulator's own public register. |
Payout speed (median of all tests)
| Median time to paid | Points |
|---|---|
| up to 10 minutes | 100 |
| up to 30 minutes | 85 |
| up to 2 hours | 70 |
| up to 12 hours | 50 |
| up to 48 hours | 25 |
| longer | 0 |
Hard cap: if any test withdrawal is still unpaid 7 days after the request, the total score is capped at 30 regardless of the other parts, and the report says so at the top.
KYC friction
- 100 - no documents were requested in any test.
- 70 - documents were requested, but exactly as the casino's terms say (for example above a stated amount).
- 30 - documents were requested in a way the terms did not announce (for example on a small withdrawal at a casino that advertises no verification).
Asking for KYC is not bad in itself - licensed operators have anti-money-laundering duties. What we penalise is surprise. See KYC vs no-KYC casinos.
Limits & fees
Start at 100 and subtract: 40 if the casino charges more than 1 USD on top of the network fee; 30 if the minimum withdrawal is above 20 USD; 30 if the daily withdrawal limit is below 1,000 USD. Minimum 0.
Fairness transparency
- 100 - provably fair with a public algorithm, a client seed the player can change, and every round we sampled recomputed correctly.
- 80 - as above, but the client seed cannot be changed by the player.
- 50 - a published algorithm we have not yet sampled.
- 0 - no provably fair games, or any sampled round that did not recompute.
Third-party slots are usually not provably fair at all; this part only covers games the casino says are. See what provably fair does and does not prove.
Licence
100 if we found the licence in the regulator's public register; 40 if a licence is claimed but we could not confirm it; 0 if none is claimed.
Re-checks and freshness
- Every transaction hash is re-verified on-chain when a report is published and whenever it is updated.
- We aim to repeat tests at least every 90 days. A report whose newest test is older than 180 days is marked as stale.
- Bonus terms, limits and KYC policy are copied from the casino's terms on the review date, with the source link, and re-read at every re-test.
- Corrections are dated and listed on the report. Old tests stay visible - we do not delete bad results.
What the score cannot tell you
Small test withdrawals show how a casino treats small withdrawals. Large wins can trigger reviews and limits that small tests never reach. A good score is evidence, not a guarantee - and no score changes the house edge. Read our responsible gambling page before you play.
Conflicts of interest
- Some outbound links may be affiliate links that pay us a commission. A casino's commercial terms never enter the formula, and the formula is published above.
- Casinos cannot pay for a review, a score or a position on a list. We do not accept free balance, bonus credit or reimbursed deposits for tests - tests will be funded with our own money.
- Each report states whether it contains affiliate links, and any commercial relationship with that operator.
